Kalladipatty, Ammaianayakanur Via, Dindigul Dt. - 624 201.
Kalladipatty, a substation of Silukkuvarpatty parish was bifurcated and erected into a new parish in 1988. It is 6 kms away from Vadipatty and it is situated next to Pallapatty on the Dindigul – Sholavandan highways road. Total population of this area is 1500, of which the Catholic population is 850. Most of them are agricultural and coolie workers. The new parochial church and presbytery were constructed in 1990 which were blessed and opened by Archbishop Arockiasamy on 03-02-1990. Presbytery was built at the time of Fr. S.K. Britto who was the first parish priest of Kalladipatty.
The old church was built in the name of St. Antony in 1914. At present, when the parish was bifurcated presbytery was built in that place. The new church was built and dedicated to St. John De Britto for two reasons, 1. since 1960, during the month of February, people used to go to Arulandar Malai Kunru, after the flog hoisting they used to offer the prayer. 2. St. John De Britto is the patron saint of our Archdiocese. Since there is no other big church in the diocese in the name of our patron saint, this name was given to this church.
